MAJOR LEAGUE IMPACT 2025

The 2025 season has been another year of increased visibility and positive momentum for girls and women in baseball and DC Girls Baseball has been a part of it all! From MLB Develops’ GRIT Girls ID Tour at Nationals Youth Academy, to the See Her Be Her premier in Georgetown, to the Women’s Professional Baseball League tryouts at Nationals Park and WPBL Draft featuring standout alums from our program, this season has been full of highlights on the field and impactful moments for our community.

Throughout the year DCGB players and coaches have been helping to drive that impact. They’re competing locally on their middle and high school teams, building a baseball community as their travel teams play throughout DC, MD, VA, and beyond, representing the DMV at Baseball for All Nationals, and earning awards for their outstanding play, heart, and hustle.

Each week they’re rising early on Sunday mornings to put in the work — raising the quality of their at bats, learning new pitches, improving in the field and on the bases, and volunteering their time to introduce younger players to the game. They’re also keeping bonds with long-time friends, embracing new teammates, and creating excitement about girls baseball through their social media, podcasts, appearances in local media, and in documentary films!
