DC Force Competes at the 2025 Baseball for All Nationals

Congratulations to the DC Force teams and players that competed at BFA Nationals this past week!

10U players Eve Payne-Tsoupros and Sofia Urbina joined the Philly Flames in a thrilling time at nationals. The team, made up of friends old and new, played their way from the Minors into the Majors bracket with an impressive 5-1 record. With stellar hitting (including four separate in-the-park home runs), killer pitching, and infectious energy the team ended their run on a high note as they earned bronze medals in the Majors division.

Our 12U players partnered with Philly Girls Baseball, naming themselves "Fusion." The name was apt, with the two groups blending seamlessly into a cohesive team. Although they finished with a 2-3 record, the team showed great resilience and fortitude, battling from the first pitch to the last out, losing 2 of those games by a single run. In addition to strong pitching and catching performances, the team displayed great offensive prowess, with outstanding base running, and a number of players having multi-hit, multi RBI games. But the best memories from the week will undoubtly be Pinky and friendships that will last a lifetime.

The 14U DC Force, a small but mighty crew of 9 players, showed out at BFA Nationals 2025! With every player on the roster pitching at least once, and some players adapting quickly to entirely new positions, the 14U Force squeezed their way into the Majors bracket, placing as one of the top 6 14U girls baseball teams in the country. After battling in the majors bracket, the Force rode out the week on a high after taking a close game against our frenemies, the Philly Flames. The 14U Force finished the week 3-3.

16U had a battle to start pool play, facing two Majors teams to start out the week. While ending day 1 at 0-2, they hung in close with both opponents, and the bats were hot! 16U continued to show offensive prowess and solid defense, defeating both teams faced on day two with scores of 20-5 and 17-3. This performance put DC in the number one seed going into bracket play. The Force did their best, coming in with a calm and focused mentality to play once more, where they had to win to play on. Bats were moving well; but they came up short, placing 16U in third for the Minors bracket. 16U’s energy was unmatched and the camaraderie shared amongst the team made this week one to remember.

GO FORCE!
