DC Force Competes at the 2025 DMV Series
Congratulations to the DC Force teams and players that competed our very own DMV Series this past weekend!
10U had an absolute blast at their weekend playing in the DMV Series! The group came together and showed that practice pays off with their stellar hitting and baserunning, amazing pitching, and overall great defense. The small but mighty group wore their hearts on their sleeve and left it all out on the field as they fought for their spot in a very successful weekend for the Force, showing us that the 10U squad is full of young stars on and off the field.
12U closed out the year, going 2-1 in their first 50/70 tournament. The tournament showcased so much of what the players have worked hard on all year at practice. From synchronized prep steps to timely hitting and base running, this weekend was highlighted by total team play, with every player contributing to our overall success.
14U’s strong first game and a dramatic walk off against a strong Philly Liberty team set the Force up well for a run to the championship. Their solid 2-0 Saturday showing lead them into Sunday morning, but despite solid pitching, defensive struggles opened the door to a tough loss and ended the weekend early. With that said, the squad is stacked with talent and grit and promises to continue to make noise next year.
18U opened strong with a comeback win over the Philly Flames, scoring three runs in the final inning and walking it off with a 7-5 victory thanks to walk-off by Anna Morelli. In their second game, DC started fast but ultimately lost 15-7 to the New York Wonders. Facing NY again in the championship, DC played one of their toughest games of the season. Despite a strong battery of Addison Ruffing and Ella Kassel and solid offensive efforts, DC fell 4-1 in a tight, hard-fought battle. Although a loss for DC, coaches and spectators agreed that was quite the baseball game with nail biting excitement keeping fans on edge the whole time!
