-
We will hold a virtual information meeting for families interested in tournament opportunities on March, 15th at 7 p.m.
We'll review the tournament schedule, share details on the tournament experience, talk about how we build our rosters, and how you can work with our coaches to evaluate your player’s readiness for tournament play. We will also share information on tournament registration fees, travel logistics, and offer families a chance to ask questions
Please be sure to complete the Tournament Interest Form by Friday, March 13.
-
To help us evaluate the age groups and number of teams we expect to field for each tournament, please let us know your player's interest and availability using our Tournament Interest Form.
The Tournament Interest Form is not a commitment to play and does not guarantee a roster spot on a team.Responses help inform our planning for the season, including how many teams we will field and which age groups/divisions we will offer.

Are Tournaments Right for Me?
DC Girls Baseball welcomes members with a range of skill and experience levels.
For our members who have a strong skills foundation and regular in-game experience, the tournament circuit - from local and regional events to Baseball for All's national tournament - offers our players the chance to compete consistently together as a team, to challenge themselves with high-level play, and to connect with the broader girls baseball community. BFA Nationals is typically the event with the most competitive level of play across the tournament season.
For our members who are newer to the game, still developing fundamental skills, and/or not playing games regularly, local events (Skylar Kaplan in August and our DMV Series in October) are accessible introductions to the tournament experience. Their timing allows coaches to work with players on skills development across the spring and summer. Our Arlington Senior Babe Ruth rec team for ages 13 and older is another local opportunity for in-game experience with regular instruction by DCGB coaches.
We do not hold tryouts for tournament teams but our coaches do work with players and families to evaluate readiness. Our goal is to ensure that players feel prepared and have a positive experience when they join us for tournament play.
Tournament Fees, Deposits, & Scholarships
DCGB sets a tournament fee for each event we attend. The tournament fee is intended to cover the team registration fee DCGB pays to the tournament organizer, a portion of DCGB's coaching costs for each team, and team expenses.
The tournament fee is in addition to our annual membership fee.
-
In 2026, tournament fees will be due one month before the tournament date.
BFA Nationals: For our largest event of the year we require a non-refundable deposit of $150 by April 8.
-
Tournament fees for 2026 events will be set in March.
2025 Team Fees for DCGB members are listed below for reference:
Slaterettes Classic: $265
BFA Nationals: $650
Skylar Kaplan Pioneer Series: $195
NY Girls Baseball Tournament: $265
DMV Series: $195 -
It is important to DCGB that cost is not a barrier for players to participate in tournament opportunities. We accept financial assistance requests for all tournaments that we attend. Requests are reviewed by our Financial Assistance Committee and are confidential.
Following the Tournament Information meeting on March 15, we’ll share more information on how to submit financial assistance requests for 2026 tournaments.
Additional Tournament Opportunities
In addition to the tournaments DCGB is prioritizing for our teams in 1016, there are an increasing number of playing opportunities emerging. We will continue to update you on girls baseball events as information becomes available.
If there is a baseball event you are interested in participating in, please contact us!
