VOLUNTEER WITH YBA PLAY
-
YBA PLAY is a FREE clinic-based program for youth ages 5-12 aimed at introducing kids to the game of baseball and exposing them to healthy social and physical habits like leadership, teamwork, and nutrition.
Volunteer coaches who support YBA PLAY Summer League assist with the facilitation of fun station-based gameplay and modified games. Volunteer Coaches authentically engage PLAYers June 23rd through July 31st,Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:15 pm-7:45 pm at one of the four YBA PLAY sites (listed below) for six-weeks. We highly encourage volunteer coaches to support at least two nights a week for consistency and relationship building.
Supporting YBA PLAY is one of the best community service opportunities in Washington, DC! Volunteers receive Nats branded Nike Dr-Fit Shirts, Nats Academy ballcaps, youth development trainings, exposure to a diverse group of community builders, group outing to a Nats game, and most importantly, help positively impact the lives of dozens of children.
Volunteers can start coaching at 14 years old.
